You voted. And Rex is now Yoshi!

Shannon and Amy Park are deeply grateful for the interest and participation in naming the newest addition to their family. After fostering Rex for several weeks, the adoption is final and he has a new beginning in many respects! Yoshi (meaning "Good Luck") is getting the new start he so deserves, with a new name to go with his new life.

As you no doubt remember, Rex was brought to us by the Boulder Police after he had been found taped to a refrigerator. This adorable Shiba Inu was found upside down with his paws bound together with elastic hair ties. He came to us traumatized and fearful. Our training and shelter staff immediately began working with him to begin building trust. Shannon and Amy Park are a wonderful family who had experience with his breed and have created a new life now filled with unconditional love and support.

Thank you for the tremendous outpouring of support to help Yoshi begin his fresh start! If you are interested in helping more animals like Yoshi, click here now!
