But there is a more serious purpose behind this animal-friendly event—raising critical funds to support the animals at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. So whether you’re running with your favorite four-legged friend or a group of two-legged friends, you can help us reach our goal of $100,000!

Grumpy Growlers

Training Class Spotlight:

This class is for dogs that bark, growl, or lunge when on-leash and in the presence of other dogs.

This specialty course run by two instructors is designed to provide you with the skills to manage and modify your dog’s current reaction to other dogs. We train in a safe, low-stress classroom environment to teach your dog alternative behaviors that are incompatible with reactivity and aggression.

Starts Wednesday, July 30, 2014: 7:00 - 8:00 pm and runs for 6 sessions

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is seeking applicants for the position of Kennel Attendant. Applicants must be available to work Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. The Kennel Attendant position is a seasonal, part-time position with a starting pay rate of $9.00/hour. Seasonal employees receive a discount in our retail store and are eligible for membership/enrollment discounts with area gym and fitness facilities.

May 01, 2014 Adoption Specialist

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is accepting applications for Adoption Specialists. This is an hourly, non-exempt position which could be either full-time or part-time. Work hours are M-F from 8:00am until 7:00pm and Sat/Sun from 7:00am until 6:00pm. 
 

The Adoption Specialist provides client service and animal adoption counseling at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and uphold our mission and client service values: We use our best judgment; We do what we say we will do; We treat people with respect; We use flexibility and creativity to exceed expectations.
