The Humane Society of Boulder Valley's Camp Muddy Paws offers a unique experience by giving campers a chance to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals through lessons around responsible pet guardianship, veterinary care, philanthropy and community volunteerism.
Summer Camp
Our popular summer camp program is perfect for animal-loving kids ages 6 - 10. Camp consists of five, two-week sessions that focus on making a difference in the day-to-day lives of shelter animals - dogs, cats and small mammals.
Each camper will choose between activities such as learning how to be an Animal Adoption Friend, a Junior Animal Trainer and a Junior Veterinarian. We'll unleash the creative side of our campers, too! Campers may become an Animal Fun Time Expert, creating toys and games for the animals in the shelter. They may also become a Junior Promoter, learning hands-on ways to help get our shelter animals adopted in the community, creating digital photographs and videos for actual use on the animal adoption pages of our website.
Because of the varied dietary restrictions of many of our campers, lunch and snacks are not provided through our camp program. We ask parents/guardians to provide a lunch and two healthy snacks for your camper each day.
Cost: $525 per 2-week session
Hours: Camp takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with drop-off starting 8:30 a.m. and pick-up ending at 4:30 p.m.
