And the winner is!
Thank you everyone for participating in our first annual Photo Contest. The votes have been counted, and we are excited to announce our Grand Prize winner and five category winners. The winning image was submitted by Joan Strosin, of Boulder, who describes her entry of Stanley as a “new beginning.” Congratulations to Joan and Stanley. Look for Stanley’s image in upcoming Humane Society publications.

Ten month old KiKi always loves to look through her magic window!

Inseparable buddies. 4 month old Sky follows 7 year old Neo everywhere like a shadow.

This is just puppy love if ever there was one!! Baxter was
adopted in May of 2009 from the Humane Society,
little did I know we were
both born on March 16th!

Hazel is a crazy rescue mix at 6 months old.

Goldie’s all-time favorite place in the world – Coot
Lake and the Boulder Reservoir!
Throw me a rock so I can chase the splash!

His name is Blue, this picture was taken at Cherry Creek
Dog Park.
The picture is pretty special because it’s about the only
time I could get him to sit still at the dog park!

Bastian, the aussie we adopted from HSBV in November loves
the Tundra and the mountains.
This photo shows he and I atop Meadow Mountain
in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, June 2009.
Bastian loves leading the way
and making sure the trail is safe for his people!

Misty and Freddie are littermates that were adopted as kittens
form the Humane Society.
They have a very loving, affectionate personalities
and love to cuddle with me as well as with each other.
I’m so glad
they are a part of my life.

This picture was taken of Stanley in June 2008. The previous
December we had to have one of dogs put to sleep –pancreatic cancer.
By clipping Stanley’s image from another photo and showing him emerging
from the Easter egg, I felt it spoke to the hope that a new puppy and new
life begins.
