Everyone agrees that Doggie Dash is just a ton of fun! So whether you’re running with your favorite four-legged friend or a group of two-legged friends, you can help us reach our goal of $100,000!

This class is for dogs that bark, growl, or lunge when on-leash and in the presence of other dogs.

This specialty course run by two instructors is designed to provide you with the skills to manage and modify your dog’s current reaction to other dogs. We train in a safe, low-stress classroom environment to teach your dog alternative behaviors that are incompatible with reactivity and aggression.

Our Training Philosophy

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley promotes force-free dog training and discourages the use of pain, fear or coercion to modify or manage dog behavior. Our goal is to provide our community with training strategies that provide gentle, safe and effective interaction between pets and people. We rely on positive reinforcement for manners training and utilize force-free behavior modification strategies for pets in need of rehabilitation.

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is committed to providing guardians and their canine companions with the most effective, dog-friendly training and behavior modification techniques. To ensure happy and healthy relationships between pets and people, we rely on positive, reward-based training techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and foster a foundation of trust and enjoyment. At the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, we use a variety of rewards including treats, playtime with favorite toys, and opportunities for outdoor play to encourage appropriate behavior. We believe this is the most efficient method for teaching polite behavior and ensures a successful relationship between you and your canine companion. After all, training should be a fun and rewarding experience for both of you!
