READY, SET, SMELL!  Our K9 Nose Work®   6 week class will introduce you and your puppy to the exciting world of scent!

We have bben offering this class to adult dogs for years and are excited to present it to the puppy population as an adjunct socialization opportunity and a way for your puppy to gain confidence in the environment while having fun.

It is said that a dog’s sense of smell is at least a thousand times stronger than a humans.  That’s why we often see dogs assisting with amazing tasks such search and rescue, customs security, and medical assistance!  Encouraging your dog to use his or her nose is also great enrichment and fun!  The perfect mental and physical activity for dogs of any age and breed, nose work helps build confidence, focus, and the bond between you and your puppy.

This exciting 1 hour class is presented by our certified Associate Nose Work Instructor to give you and your dog a start to this unique sport.

Dogs participating in this class will “work” the room one at a time; therefore, your dog must be comfortable spending time in his or her crate between events.  Crates will be provided for your puppy to use during class time. If your puppy isn't routinely using a crate as part of nap time or housetraining strategy, please spend time positively introducing your pup to a crate prior to the commencement of this class.

Please bring to class: Plenty of high-value food treats (more than you ever imagined) and your puppy on a 6 foot leash and either a regular collar, harness, or gentle leader.  Please no choke, prong, or shock collars.
