Our Events

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley hosts and participates in several events every year to raise money for the animals in our care, increase awareness of our mission and to have a whole lot of tail-wagging fun.

Our largest event of the year is our Puttin' On The Leash Gala. Attendees dine on gourmet food and drinks and have the chance to snag some amazing items, trips and more in our silent and live auctions.

Doggie Dash is an annual fundraiser where humans and canines come together for a 5K run or  walk held at the Boulder Reservoir. Enjoy a scrumptious pancake breakfast, pet-related booths, vendors and much more!

Holiday Family and Pet Portraits is a much-anticipated event that gears up before the end-of-the-year holidays. Bring your friends, family and pets for a private sitting with a professional photographer. View your photos the same day to purchase digital copies of one, two, or all the shots.

Sponsor an Event

Interested in sponsoring one of our events? Email Lisa Borgmann at for all the details. Our corporate sponsors receive many unique benefits and wonderful public awareness opportunities while helping the community and the animals we serve at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Your sponsorship allows us to save more lives and directly fulfill our mission of protecting and enhancing the lives of companion animals by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people.

Host an Event

Besides those put on by the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, there are lots of other events hosted by members of our community and local businesses to support our cause. Check out our Events Calendar to see upcoming events and how you can participate. Interested in hosting your own event? Perhaps you own a business and would like to donate a portion of your proceeds. Or, maybe you have a rockin' band and would like to sell tickets to raise money. There are so many ways to help, and we are so lucky to have the support of our community. If you're considering hosting a benefit or other event, please contact Lisa Borgmann at

By participating in any of our events, you are supporting our animals and mission and ensuring we can continue in our lifesaving efforts. Thank you for your support!
