Adoption Center Hours

Adoption services are available to drop-in visitors, seven days a week. View our Adoption Center webpage for more information.

Saturday + Sunday : 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

To ensure all animal visits and adoptions are completed, we will stop any new animal meets one hour before closing.

Animal Services Hours

Lost & Found, Rehoming, Euthanasia Services
Monday – Friday : 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday + Sunday : 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Make an appointment for relinquishment/rehoming or cremation services. Appointments for animal services are recommended, but not required. Appointments are available until 30 minutes before we close. If you find a stray animal or need to reclaim an animal, please call us at (303) 442-4030 so we can help you once you arrive. You can also email us: servicedesk@boulderhumane.org.

Boulder Animal Protection

The HSBV animal care team is prepared to provide ongoing support to the pets of community members impacted by COVID-19 by sheltering dogs, cats, and small animals. HSBV is not an animal control or law enforcement agency.

For calls regarding a stray or injured domestic animal in the city limits of Boulder, please contact City of Boulder police dispatch at (303) 441-3333. To report domestic animal conflict such as nuisance barking, general questions, and non-emergencies, please call Boulder Animal Protection directly at (303) 441-1874.
