Ways to Help

Every day, animals in need arrive at HSBV. Some are lost – hoping to reunite with their loving family after they accidentally got into some mischief. Some are hurt – looking for a helping hand and a safe place to lay their head. Some are scared – seeking compassionate support to help them thrive.

In addition to providing care to the animals at HSBV and leveraging our foster volunteer resources for these animals, we also have readied our community Safety Net for pet guardians in need. Our team has pet supplies and food prepared for community members experiencing financial hardship during this difficult time. The shelter is ready to provide temporary boarding to pets displaced due to the impacts of COVID-19, giving them love and care while their guardian get back on their feet. Our veterinary clinic continues to give injured and sick animals the urgent care they need.

With social distancing recommendations on-going, critical service revenue is reduced, and fundraising events have been cancelled. These funding sources fuel our work and our mission. We need YOU to keep going. The animals are counting on us.
