Dr. Cristina Gutierrez joined the Humane Society of Boulder Valley as a veterinary technician in 1998 before attending veterinary school.
While in veterinary school, she helped create a non-profit focused on providing free veterinary care internationally. She now sticks closer to home and enjoys fostering and caring for animals at HSBV. Cristina’s areas of interest include internal medicine and pain management. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and is certified in veterinary acupuncture.
Dr. Gutierrez is married with two daughters. She has two dogs, both adopted from HSBV. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with family and friends.
