Emily Heitzmann, KPA-CTP

Puppy Club Supervisor

Emily is a Denver native who has loved dogs her entire life.  She discovered the joys of dog training when she began participating in agility and other dog sports with her own dogs. From there, she began assisting and teaching agility classes which sparked her interest in dog training as a profession.  In order to gain additional skills, she became a volunteer with the behavior and modification team at HSBV, and enrolled and graduated from the Dog Trainer Professional Program through Karen Pryor Academy in 2017, earning her KPA-CTP.  She is committed to force-free, science-based training techniques, and is passionate about helping pet parents deepen their bond with their dogs.  Emily is currently enrolled in Jean Donaldson’s Academy for Dog Trainers, pursuing her Certificate in Training and Counseling.  She shares her home with several Border Collies, a hamster, and a fish.
