Lesli Groshong, DVM, DABVP

Dr. Lesli Groshong is a native Coloradoan who joined HSBV in 1994 and manages the health of the animals in our shelter. To nurture the skills of future colleagues, she has mentored hundreds of veterinary students in shelter medicine and spay/neuter surgery. In 2015, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association named her the Colorado Veterinarian of the Year. She is an active member of the Boulder Flatirons Rotary, with service as club president.

Dr. Groshong is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in shelter medicine and is a Fear Free Certified Professional. Her practice is limited to Shelter Medicine and Surgery. She pairs travel with veterinary medicine and adventures around the world to teach and perform spay/neuter.

Lesli enjoys outdoor time with family skiing and horseback riding. Her animal family includes shelter fosters and adoptees, Morgan horses and two free-ranging peacocks.
